How does a magnet stick to your fridge? Why does your hair fly around when a bus rushes past? From kitchens to gardens, science is part of our everyday lives, and the most amazing thing is that we use it all the time without even realising it!
In the new Phenomenal exhibition, you’ll discover that you’re already a scientist, mathematician and engineer in your own way. Explore the world of Science, sharpen your mathematical thinking, unleash your ingenuity and get hands-on with technology through exciting challenges. Here, scientific concepts with impressive names (such as the Bernoulli Principle or Ohm’s Law) become playgrounds for the whole family to explore.
Get ready to see the world differently, because science is simply… Phenomenal! Phenomenal!
4 ZONES / Interactive Exploration
Chat with a virtual character, ride an unusual bicycle, challenge the agility of a robotic arm… Are you ready to dive into the world of STEM?
Designed as a true gateway to the SPARKOH! experience, this exhibition is the very first step of your visit – and for good reason! Before exploring our themed exhibitions, immerse yourself in these key disciplines and discover that at SPARKOH!, curiosity is a superpower and STEM is the perfect excuse to play.

Zone 1
Unleash your ingenuity!
Pulleys, gears, gravity… In this first zone, put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test as you explore how scientific principles help tackle everyday and research challenges.
Challenges
- Ride an unusual vehicle with a non-conventional wheel
- Set gears in motion to animate a scene
- Lift 10 kg using the least amount of effort
- Challenge the laws of gravity

Zone 2
Journey through science
Bernoulli Effect, ferrofluid, Oscylinerscope… In this second zone, complicated names turn into exciting adventures. Discover how some of the most ordinary actions in everyday life are governed by scientific laws.
Challenges
- Try to make a disc float in mid-air
- Visualise the sound waves produced by a drum
- Control a fascinating ferrofluid
- Use magnetism to create a unique drawing

OH! EVERYDAY LIFE
OH! LAB
Phenomenal is an exhibition where science, mathematics, technology and engineering are discovered through play, while revealing just how present they are in our everyday lives.
By connecting STEM phenomena to everyday uses and professional applications, the exhibition builds bridges between laboratory science, industrial innovation and daily life.
Each experience highlights this connection: fridge magnetism becomes medical imaging, the sound waves of a guitar help seismologists study earthquakes, and the shape of a football inspires habitats for future Mars missions.
Observe, experiment, manipulate and have fun…
Phenomenal reminds us that science is accessible, intuitive and sometimes even magical!
