Along the pond, through the flower-filled meadow, or barefoot on the nature trail, embark on a unique sensory journey and encounter local plants and wildlife.

A collaborative project
At the heart of the Biodiversity Garden, people are everywhere! See those willow huts? They were carefully woven by hand by our members. And the birdhouses and insect hotels hanging here and there? Our young trainees helped build them, hammer in hand! The animal tracks on the ground? The barefoot trail? The shrubs and hedges? SPARKOH! teams and visitors rolled up their sleeves and contributed, with the invaluable support of BLOC PAYSAGE, the landscape designers behind the garden.
This collaborative project was created together with our visitors through moments of sharing and discovery in nature, helping to raise awareness of biodiversity and the importance of thoughtful museum design.

Education for sustainable development
Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is a core mission of SPARKOH!, and our commitment is ongoing. Our programmes and facilities demonstrate this dedication through major initiatives such as the film Together (2016), the interactive exhibition Nature 2.0 (on display until September 2024), energy-efficiency improvements across our buildings, and the continuous development of workshops and activities focused on ecology and the environment.
The Biodiversity Garden is a natural continuation of this commitment. It represents the latest flagship project in our environmental action programme and was developed with the essential support of the Walloon Region.
