In Elementary!, discover in a fun and engaging way how everything around us has been designed and made possible through chemistry.
Chemistry: all around you, but not where you think! That’s the guiding theme of this renewed exhibition. Chemistry isn’t confined to laboratories: from living organisms to everyday objects, from the air we breathe to our own bodies, it explains why matter changes, transforms and reacts—often without us even noticing.
Through hands-on experiments and interactive activities, visitors discover the “invisible building blocks” that make up everything around us and learn how they shape both today’s world and tomorrow’s.

Molecules for tomorrow
In 2025, SPARKOH! enhanced its Chemistry Lab exhibition with a brand-new installation created in partnership with Fluxys: an 8-metre interactive wall divided into three play zones, where visitors of all ages can manipulate methane, hydrogen and carbon dioxide molecules while triggering chemical reactions and transformations.
Combining hands-on interaction, playful experimentation and real-world chemistry, this immersive installation connects science, industry and Belgian innovation.
