How many legs does a monkey have? What about a snail? Which sea creature is bigger than a sardine? Which animals live in the jungle? How many are there? Five? Ten? Even more? What if we counted them?
Forget boring maths! In 1, 2, 3… let’s go, SPARKOH! invites young children into a world where numbers, shapes and mathematics are everywhere – even in the jungle and beneath the ocean waves!
Designed for children aged 3 to 7, this interactive exhibition offers a first multisensory and poetic introduction to the world of mathematics. Through hands-on exploration of three miniature worlds, little ones engage their senses, develop their curiosity and discover maths through play.

Zone 1
Explore the Tundra
Discover an incredible polar landscape: soft, snowy and home to polar bears, birds and beavers. In this world, everything is about volume and shape. Mountains become cones and pyramids, icebergs become cubes, and tangrams invite endless creativity.
Challenges
Rebuild the landscape using cubes, cones and pyramids to explore 3D shapes
Help the beavers build and balance a dam using wooden logs
Recreate tangram puzzles by combining geometric shapes

Zone 2
Dive into the Ocean
Dive beneath the waves. What do you see? A fascinating variety of marine animals with different shapes, colours and sizes. Some fish are oval, others are round; some have stripes, others playful patterns. Some are huge, while others are tiny… At the bottom of the ocean, everything is about geometry, shapes and size!
Challenges
Identify the geometric shapes found in marine animals
Recreate figures using shapes and patterns
Go fishing for “bigger than” and “smaller than” challenges
Rebuild starfish and other sea creatures using tangram-style games

Challenges
Count amazing animals
Learn about their characteristics
Practise counting through active and playful activities

Stories to Learn About Time
During their adventure, children can take a magical sensory break. Through captivating stories – such as Opaline the Sardine or Thunder the Little Reindeer – they discover the passing of time and the concept of duration in a poetic and engaging way.
